Choosing the Perfume that Suits You Most
Deciding on a perfume to stick with for some time can be a little intimidating, especially with so many different brands and scents available to choose from.
Something important to keep in mind is that you can always buy perfume samples, this way you can test it out and see for yourself if a scent truly suits you or not. It’s always best to apply perfume to warm areas of your body such as your wrists, neck, décolleté and the back of your knees; in this way the fragrance will be better able to faster blend in with your own body’s natural oils and the scent, particular to you, will then be more pronounced.
Types of Perfumes:
It also helps to familiarize yourself with the jargon appropriate to perfumes. An important differentiation to make concerns the 4 main types of perfumes. These are, in order from the lightest to the strongest: Eau de Cologne, Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum and Parfum. Typically, the strongest type of perfume will have a scent that lasts longer and that will be acutely more perceivable.
Finally, it’s very important to differentiate the scent of a perfume on your skin from the different marketing campaigns set-out for each fragrance. Because no matter how much you like an advertisement or celebrity, the perfume will have its own way of blending-in with your skin, this will create a scent particular to you.
